After the first round being cancelled due to the bad weather round 2 at Yarley was greeted with glorious sunshine which combined with a strong wind dried the track to perfect conditions even showing an element of dust by the third block. The track ran the opposite way due to the start and big hill still being waterlogged but still made for some great racing during the day.

The Autos were hotly contested between Edward Hoddinott and Bradley Way who both had a win and a second in their first two outings, with all to play for in the last moto Hoddinott took the win from Way, Toby English rode three solid third places for third overall.

The 65’s were dominated by James Rowe with three wins while Louie Kessel took second with 2,2,3 and Jason Down third with 3,4,2.

The Small wheel class was another dominant display from Jack Booker winning all three races while Ryan Tanner and Deon Thomas battled for the runners up position with Ryan coming out on top to take second overall from Deon.

The Big wheel class saw some exciting racing in a hotly contested class from Harry Pritchard, Billy King and Corey Hockey. In race one Billy King seemed to be well on the pace but a couple of costly mistakes left him in fourth with Harry taking the win from Corey. Race two and again a mistake from Billy but this time he got his act together and went on to win the next two races to take the overall from Pritchard and Hockey.

The Rookies class were dominated by the 4 strokes with Adam Dyer taking the win with a third and two wins, second went to Luke Williams with some consistent riding with a fifth followed by two second places and third was Jack Roberts who won the first race and then followed it up with a fourth and fifth to give him third. Overall Rookie 2 stroke went to Husqvarna mounted Joe Clayton who took all three race wins followed by George Poole with a trio of second places leaving George Welch to take third.

A full line up for MX2 proved some of the most exciting racing of the day. Olly Jones certainly had his gating head on but could not stand the attack from a determined Jay Thomas who overhauled Olly to win the first two races. Race three and again Olly pulled the holeshot, rounding the first lap Olly led while Jay was near the back of the field charging hard. By the time the chequered flag was out Jay was on the back wheel of Olly who just held on for the win. Josh James secured third overall with consistent top five placing’s.

It was a small line up for MX1 with only 10 riders taking their place on the line. It soon emerged although a small line up this was to be a fiercely contested class. Darren Banwell took the honours in race one from Ryan Allen and Brad Cavill, Race 2 saw Cavill take the lead to be stalked virtually the whole race by Allen who then took his opportunity with a lap to go to pass Cavill and go on for the win with Banwell taking a solid third. With all to play for in the last race Allen took the lead and from Scott Arden and started to pull a gap but a mistake on the finish line jump about quarter of the way through the race left him dazed and out of the race, third was Arden, second Ryan Redwood and Cavill then made his way to the front to take the win for the overall from Banwell second and Redwood third in the overall.

Thanks to Steve Day and his crew for changing the track so it was rideable.
